About the Course
The CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) is an IT workforce certification that applies behavioural analytics to networks and devices to prevent, detect and combat cybersecurity threats through continuous security monitoring.
What Is a Cybersecurity Analyst?
A Cybersecurity Analyst detects cyber threats and then implements changes to protect an organisation in the following ways:
- Manages and configures tools to monitor activity on the network
- Analyses the reports from those tools to identify unusual behaviour on the network
- Proactively identifies network vulnerabilities through penetration testing, vulnerability scans and vulnerability assessment reports
- Plans and recommends changes to increase the security of the network
- Applies security patches to protect the network
The CompTIA CySA+ course applies behavioural analytics to networks to improve the overall state of security. This is managed by identifying and combating malware and advanced persistent threats, resulting in an enhanced threat visibility across a broad attack surface. The course will also validate an IT professional’s ability to proactively defend and continuously improve the security of an organisation.
